Children's Ministry
We welcome you and your children to our facilities and programs. We take seriously when Jesus said, "let the little children come...and hinder them not." Our goal is to reach our children at the youngest age about God's love for them and help them first find and then continue to follow Jesus' path throughout their childhood. You will find it is our staff's and congregation's intention to provide programs and activities that will nurture and enrich your child's life.

Regular Children's Programs and Activities
Children's Church
Children are always welcome in our Sunday morning worship services. Children's Activity Pages are available every Sunday at both services in the narthex. Children ages 4 years to 2nd grade spend the first part of the service in the sanctuary then are dismissed to attend Children's Church located in our Children's building. Children's Church does not meet on the first Sunday of each month when Holy Communion is served in both morning worship services. This allows the children to participate in Holy Communion with their parents.
Children's Sunday school
There are Sunday school classes available for ages 4 years through the 1st grade all located in our preschool side of our church building. Sunday school classes are available for 2nd through 12thgrade in our Family Life Center building. Our talented and gifted teachers are there to provide a loving and fun environment as they learn about Jesus and God's love for them. Our Sunday school hour starts at 9:45am.
Nursery
Babies and small children up to 4 years old are welcome in our church nursery with open arms. They are provided a small snack, a bible craft lesson and lots of Jesus’ love from our nursery staff, Mrs. Katrina Myers and Mrs. Lucy Stephens.
KIDS FOR CHRIST
Wednesday Night Bible Study (4 years through Grade 5) - A fun-filled midweek program that teaches the fundamentals of the bible in a FUN and EXCITING way meet in conjunction with our Youth Wednesday night programs (6th- 12th). Children meet with their age groups for a variety of activities, including Bible study, crafts, and recreation. Children 4 years old led by Karen Shepard and a helper. Children K-2nd grade are located upstairs in the Family Life Center led by Sara Paulk and Jennifer Sirmans. Children 3rd through 5th grade participate in Mission Minded Kids (M.M.K) located upstairs in the Family Life Center led by Donna Giddens and Anita Sweat.
Children's Choir Programs
The Children's choir, M&M (Music and More) is for children 3 years of age through 5th grade. This choir meets on Sunday afternoon’s from 5:30 until 6:30 p.m. in Garner Hall.
The Children's choir learns God’s word through song, praise and worship. The Children's choir works hard during the year to present two fun-filled, choreographed musicals; one during the Christmas season, and one at Easter. The Children's Choir are led by Laurie Carter and Susan Schools.
Acolytes
Children in 3rd - 6th grades can serve as Acolytes at each of our morning Worship services. Training takes place once a year in the Fall for new and returning Acolytes taught by Brother Russ Elkins.
Confirmation
The Confirmation experience includes an attendance at the South Georgia Conference "Join The Journey" Weekend Retreat at Epworth By The Sea at St. Simons Island, GA. Dates are scheduled for February 27- March 1 and March 20-22. This time of Confirmation training concentrates on the confirmand's individual commitment to their faith, their church, and most importantly to their God.
